A single day, observed closely and arranged with precision. No fuss, no direction, no missed glances.

FounderHey, I’m Brandon! A documentary filmmaker from Melbourne.
I originally picked up a camera for photography, shot a few weddings, that was the plan. But something was missing.
Photography cant hear the sound of a room filling up, the half second before someone speaks, the way a day gathers itself, builds, and is suddenly behind you. A photograph holds a moment beautifully but it can't hold the movement, and the movement is where the feeling lives.
The buzz is real. People laughing, crying, dancing, drinking, surrounded by everyone they love, all in one room for the only time it'll ever happen. It's a cliche to say the day goes fast, but it does, and you spend the whole night wishing you could stay in it.
Time machines don't exist. A camera comes close.
Hear the laughter and feel the love.
I'm after energy, atmosphere, emotion. The story leads, never the performance, never the trend. You'll spend a year planning the biggest day of your life, and you'll want to live it again. Together, with family, with friends, and one day with people who weren't there yet. When you do, I want you to smell the food, hear the laughter, feel the love in the room.

The films are cinematic, but the feeling drives them. I'm watching for the real moments and the story sitting underneath them, so what you end up with sounds like you rather than a template. Considered in the craft, personal in the content.
-
The day unfolds and I follow it. There are a couple of points where a quiet word helps, mostly around portraits, but I'm not running you through setups. You should be able to get married without being managed.
-
Closely and without friction. I talk to your photographer and your planner early, I know how the day is meant to run, and I fit into it rather than around it. The point is one team pulling toward the same day, not a group of suppliers competing for you.
-
Yes, gladly. Anywhere in Victoria, interstate, overseas. Travel and accommodation get worked out at booking so there are no surprises later.
-
Sound carries the film as much as the picture does. I run lavs and take a feed from the reception desk, so your vows and speeches come back clean and complete. Music is properly licensed and chosen to sit under the day rather than lead it.
-
I will. Patches Film House is me, which means the person you meet at the consultation is the person on the day and the person cutting the film afterward. Nothing gets handed off.

Start with the contact form. We'll talk through your day and make sure it's a fit, then a signed agreement and a retainer hold your date.
